Use the campus process before bringing the animal
A West Virginia University emotional support animal request starts with the Office of Accessibility Services process. Its published professional questionnaire describes registration, supporting information and a meeting with an accessibility specialist. Confirm the current term’s instructions, since the linked document is dated March 2023. A commercial letter alone is not the complete campus application.

Northern Arizona and Arizona State

Ask how the decision is communicated to housing and when the animal may arrive.
Kent State and Bowling Green
A Kent State emotional support animal request is reviewed through Student Accessibility Services. The current animals page describes an individualized assessment and an Animal Conversation Course before arrival, along with identification and residential-notice steps. Older university handouts differ on some operational details; confirm the current SAS instructions for your situation.
For a BGSU emotional support animal request, Bowling Green’s Community Living Standards direct students to Accessibility Services and link the separate animal policy. Review care, supervision and residence expectations with the relevant offices. Do not treat a previous student’s approval as a substitute for your own request.
Delaware and Purdue
A University of Delaware emotional support animal request uses the separate ESA Application in the DSS Portal. Verify that you have selected the correct application before uploading records.

Ask which current form applies to your campus and how arrival permission is communicated; a pending review is not described as permission to house the animal.
Rutgers and the final move-in check
A Rutgers emotional support animal request must identify the campus. The Camden page reviewed here begins with ODS registration and requires written approval from ODS and Housing before arrival. This is specifically Camden guidance; students at New Brunswick or Newark should obtain their own campus instructions rather than reusing that approval route without checking.
For every university, retain the application, supporting information and written response. Confirm animal-care duties, emergency arrangements and who handles a roommate concern. Ask whether a new residence, animal or term requires an update. Keep clinical documentation in the designated channel and use housing staff for practical move-in questions. A complete campus record is more useful than buying another letter before learning what remains missing.
