ESA Pet pricing: what to confirm before paying

The ESA Pet pricing information below separates the advertised housing-letter price from the conflicting combined-package amounts. ESA Pet's main pricing cards list a housing ESA letter at $139, a PSD product at $139 and a combined package at $194.99. Lower on the same page, combined-package copy still says $154. We cannot establish which combined total checkout will apply from that page alone.
On smaller screens, swipe the table sideways to see all columns.
| Product shown | Public amount | What to resolve |
|---|---|---|
| Housing ESA letter | $139 | Final checkout total and included services |
| PSD product | $139 | Whether the product addresses an actual trained-service-dog need |
| Combined package | $194.99 on cards; $154 elsewhere | Conflicting amounts require written clarification |
These are observed advertised figures, not a guaranteed quote or a completed transaction. We have not applied a promotion, submitted a screening or entered payment details.
Define the service before comparing the total
First identify your purpose. If your question concerns a housing accommodation for an emotional support animal, ask what the housing service includes. Do not choose a broader package just because the label includes travel. DOT's airline rules distinguish task-trained service dogs from emotional support animals; purchasing an additional letter does not supply the training or create an automatic flight entitlement.
Write the exact product name next to the quoted price. Then ask whether the charge includes intake, a clinical appointment, document delivery and administrative corrections. Ask whether the fee is charged before the evaluation and what financial outcome applies if the clinician does not recommend a letter. These questions make two offers comparable without assuming that each seller includes the same work.
Ask about additions in writing
The pricing page mentions a supplemental-document fee but does not establish one universal amount for every additional request. Before ordering, describe the actual administrative task: a housing portal, an additional form, a correction or documentation relating to another animal. Ask whether it is included and obtain a specific quote for anything outside the base service.
- How many animals are included in this exact order?
- Is completion of my housing provider's separate form included?
- Does faster processing cost extra, and when does its clock start?
- What happens if the clinician needs another appointment?
- Are taxes or other charges added before payment?
Do not add hypothetical fees to a published price and present the sum as an actual total. Use the provider's response to fill your own budget, leaving unknown amounts blank until confirmed.
Separate renewal from the initial purchase
Ask whether the selected offer is a one-time purchase, an automatically renewing subscription or an optional future reevaluation. Save the next charge date, amount and cancellation instructions if recurring billing applies. Put a reminder in your own calendar once those terms are established.
The refund page includes a seven-day advance cancellation condition for auto-renewal. It also contains inconsistent statements about refunds after consultation. Our dedicated refund guide explains those conflicts; the prudent budget assumption is that money may remain at risk after an appointment. An advertisement's general guarantee is not enough to calculate a certain refund.

If the checkout figure differs from the written quote, resolve the difference before paying. Avoid uploading medical information to a sales contact just to ask a billing question. For the service decision, use the evaluation-process review; for the cost decision, keep the written scope, payment total and refund conditions together.
